Dr. Lilian Shyman, MD, CCFP

Dr. Shyman obtained her Medical Degree from Grodno State Medical University, Belarus and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of British Columbia with Excellence in Vancouver,BC. She gained her experience in gay men health and HIV medicine working as a Leader of Research Department at Spectrum Health Clinic in Vancouver, BC. The focus of her work at Spectrum Health was Men’s Health, HIV Antiretroviral Therapy and Anal Dysplasia. Dr. Shyman provides comprehensive primary care and HIV management, as well as an access to pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrPEP). Dr. Shyman is accepting new patients with HIV. She truly believes that nowadays when HIV is a chronic manageable disease having these patients in general family practice will further remove the stigma. Dr. Shyman believes it is an honour and a privilege to be able to assist patients in this challenging journey of living with HIV or being unique. Dr. Shyman also works as a hospitalist at Kelowna General Hospital and a clinical instructor for medical students at UBC. She lives in West Kelowna with her husband and 2 sons.
